Activities like netball, table tennis, chess, debating, and swimming allow learners to gain important life skills such as teamwork, communication and perseverance in a safe and supportive environment. Each offering is designed to be accessible, enjoyable and enriching, giving every child the chance to participate, grow and thrive beyond the academic curriculum.
Sport and Extra-Curricular Activities
At Marion School, we understand that education is about more than just academics. Our goal is to support the whole child by offering opportunities that encourage personal growth, build confidence and help students discover new interests and talents. Through a small but meaningful selection of sports and extra-curricular activities, we aim to complement the classroom experience and give our learners a more well-rounded foundation for life.

Debating Team
Our Debating Team provides learners with a platform to develop confidence, articulate their ideas, and engage with current events and complex issues in a structured, respectful environment. Through regular training and participation in debates, learners sharpen their public speaking, critical thinking, and research skills, all essential tools for academic and personal success.
Our team participates internally, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and intellectual growth. Whether preparing for a tournament or debating in front of peers, learners gain invaluable experience in effective communication, self-discipline, and respectful discourse.
Swimming
Swimming is an important part of our offering at Marion School, providing young learners with essential water safety skills while supporting their physical development and confidence in the pool.
Currently, swimming is offered to students in the Foundation Phase, giving them early access to this important life skill and the benefit of a well-balanced experience that combines fun with valuable life skills.
